Prerequisite(s): MATH 111 with a grade of C- or higher or placement through the Montclair State University Placement Test (MSUPT). Derivative of a function and its interpretation. Analytic computation of the derivative. Applications of the derivative, including optimization. Antiderivatives and initial-value problems. Riemann integral and its interpretation. Evaluation of integrals by the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. Applications of the integral. Computational software will be used to solve problems. Equivalent course MATH 116 effective through Spring 2020.
