College Orientation Seminar

Restriction(s): Certificate in General Studies students only. This course is for students in their first semester of college. Students will set goals and make plans to learn, work, and enjoy campus life. This seminar is a place to talk about experiences, share ideas, and get help to make the most out of college. Students will do a project to describe their personal goals and plans for working toward them, make learning contracts to communicate how they will learn in their courses, and investigate many other topics about self and others that are important to navigating campus life. Some topics include communication, identity, relationships, healthy living, study strategies, and self-advocacy. Topics can change based on student interests and needs.
