Introductory Chemistry

An introductory lecture and laboratory course in modern chemistry for non-science majors intended to make chemistry understandable, accessible and applicable. Topics include atomic theory, stoichiometry, bonding, molecular shapes, acid-base theory, ploymers, medicine, and nutrition. Satisfies Natural Science Lab GenEd requirement; satisfies SEEDS Scientific Reasoning student learning outcome in alignment with Educated Citizenry value.
