Celtic Mythology

This course is an in-depth survey of the mythology and legends of the ancient and medieval Celtic peoples of the British Isles, and their influence on later literature, religion, and culture. Particular emphasis is placed on Irish myth and hagiography and their reinterpretation in nineteenth- and twentieth-century literature, film, music, and popular culture.
