Prerequisite(s): INFO 240. Restriction(s): Business Administration Majors, Business Analytics Majors, or Business Analytics Minors only. This course enhances students' ability to use computer programming to solve business problems. Students are introduced to the concepts of object-oriented programming in business applications. This course teaches programming from the data analysis perspective by focusing on topics such as feature extraction, missing data imputation, exploratory data analysis, and statistical analysis. The course uses current programming languages, such as R or Python. Specific emphasis is placed on creation and transformation features in addition to cleaning, summarizing, organizing, and visualizing datasets. Students will develop analytical skills, learn to code in a programming language, and understand how to extract insights for data-driven business decision-making.
