This course is aimed at providing analytics students with a knowledge of statistical concepts and methods that are needed to perform important business functions requiring data analysis, such as hypothesis testing, business forecasting, trend analysis, and exploring patterns and hidden opportunities. The focus is on using the tools and techniques to extract useful information out of data and to make correct interpretations, rather than their mathematical structure or derivation. Hands-on exercises will be used to reinforce learning by taking advantage of various statistical analysis software tools.
