Restriction(s): Admission to Pre-licensure MSN degree track. This didactic/clinical course explores the impact of population and global issues on the health of individuals, families, and communities. The role of the community health nurse is examined using principles of epidemiology, transcultural communication, environmental concern, health care management, and resource allocation. Levels of prevention are explored. Community assessment, epidemiologic, environmental, change, political action, and case-management frameworks are used to guide evidence-based nursing care delivery to persons, families, and populations in a community setting.
