Restriction(s): AFC; Students must be enrolled in a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) or Instructional Teaching Certificate (CRI). Corequisite(s): SASE 526. Special fee. Students will spend 175 hours, or approximately two days per week, in an assigned public school. Activities include, but are not limited to, observing classroom teachers, facilitating small group and individual instruction, participating in after-school activities, tutoring, attending department meetings, shadowing and interviewing students and teachers, lesson planning and teaching, and assessing student work. May be repeated once for a maximum of 6 credits. Students must submit a Clinical Year application before registering for this course: the application is due by March 1 for Fall Clinical I and by October 1 for Spring Clinical I.
