Data Science and Biostatistics

Prerequisite(s): MATH 111 with a grade of C- or higher or placement through the Montclair State University Placement Test (MSUPT), or AMAT 120 or MATH 122 or any higher level undergraduate AMAT course or MATH course with a grade of C- or higher; and STAT 230 may be taken as prerequisite or corequisite. Introduction to the general methodology of statistical data science in the context of the purpose, planning, analysis, and conclusions associated with biological data and research studies. Statistical software is used. Topics include the analysis and presentation of data, techniques of statistical inference and decision-making with an emphasis on bivariate and multivariate data.
