Prerequisite(s): ARFD 200 and VCDS 220 and VCDS 301. With professional preparation as its goal, this intermediate course will challenge students to think, work, and express their ideas clearly and insightfully. Lectures, projects, critiques, and class discussions will contribute to a greater awareness not just of visible forms and techniques but also of research, concept development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and collaboration as keys to success in the field. Intricate projects that call for more sophisticated solutions will stress craftsmanship as well as the ongoing need to be efficient and knowledgeable about media, formats, and use of software.
