Communication Ethics, A.I. & Media

This course will examine the social, artistic, political, diversity, and ethical implications around the use of artificial intelligence (A.I.) and disinformation and misinformation online. The class will discuss ways in which A.I. is used in visual, written, and other forms of rhetoric, with a focus on ethical questions around such use. Additionally, a number of case studies on disinformation and misinformation will be examined with the goal of encouraging students to become educated media consumers.
