This internship is for Criminal Justice majors. It is designed to familiarize students with the philosophies and practices of criminal justice while serving as unpaid interns in host agencies. The internship will provide students the opportunity to interact with criminal justice professionals in a work environment. The purpose of the course is to facilitate student experience in the nexus between criminal justice theory and practice. Internships will be completed in one approved setting limited to federal and state criminal justice agencies. To be eligible for consideration for CRJ 281, Criminal Justice internship, a student must: be a Criminal Justice major; have earned a minimum of 60 college credits: 8 in Forensic Science and an additional 21 credits in Criminal Justice and approved program electives; have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher; and pass a criminal history background check.
