World History I

This Course is a study of processes of change and patterns of interaction between the major civilizations of the world from the rise of civilization to European expansion of the 1500's. This is a survey of the political, social, economic, cultural, and religious forces and movements essential to an understanding of the development of world civilizations. Fundamental to this course is an emphasis on the diversity of world cultures, the mutality of cultural exchange, and a global perspective on historical development.
