Jazz Guitar Ensemble

The majority of performance and educational experiences for a jazz guitarist will be in the form of a small ensemble. Issues such as accompanying melody, accompanying soloists and vocalists, setting up introductions, chord melody presentation, voicing with other chord instruments, leading endings, starting songs, reading chord symbols and single lines are extensively analyzed and mastered. Instructor permission required for 0-credit option. With pre-approval of the Faculty Ensemble Committee, this ensemble can serve as a major ensemble.
