INTRODUCTION TO TWO-DIMENSIONAL DIGITAL DESIGN

Prerequisite: Not open to those with credit for ARTV 1161, ARTV 1165, ARTV 1167, or GAH 1262. Not open to Visual Arts studio majors including: the BFA in Illustration, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, or Visual Communications; the B.A. in Interdisciplinary Visual Arts (VIBA); and the B.A. in Visual Arts K-12 Certification (EDVA). Arts Course. (A) Students develop an understanding of the organizational methods used in two-dimensional artwork. The elements and principles of design are explored through studio work using bitmap and vector based graphics software. Problem solving processes and research are integrated into the development and evaluation of visual images in art and design.
