IMAGE AND TYPOGRAPHY

Prerequisite: Introduction to 2D Design (ARTV 1161 or ARTV 1165) or Introduction to 2D Digital Design (ARTV 1164 or ARTV 1167). Arts course (A). This course explores the ways type and images are used in various design projects, including magazine cover, digital imaging, poster, and e-book layout. Lessons include principal elements of typography, layout design, and study of the grid. Development of ideas, use of typography, color harmony, and digital photo editing. Faculty: H. Ueno
