MICROBIOLOGY FOR HEALTH SCIENC

This course will explore the microbial world emphasizing human health and illness. Infectious diseases will be used as a foundation for understanding microbial growth, physiology and growth control. Emphasis will be placed on microbial control and the spread of diseases in both hospital and community settings. The course included a lecture and laboratory component. Prerequisite: BIOL 2260 or BIOL 1270 with a grade of D- or better; or BIOL 2150 and BIOL 2180 with a grade of C- or better; CHEM 2020 or CHEM 2120 with a grade of C- or better. Restrictions: Not open to those with credit for BIOL 3170
