PLANT PHYSIOLOGY

Description: The physical and chemical functioning of plants. Plant-water relations, photosynthesis and translocation, plant mineral nutrition, and the control of plant growth and developmental processes. Laboratory includes exercises in modern techniques of plant tissue culture growth, development and molecular biology. This course meets the plant requirement for BIOL major. Cross-listed with SUST 3180. Prerequisite: BIOL 1200 or 1400 and BIOL 2110 with a grade of C or better.
