INORGANIC CHEMISTRY

Description: This course will build upon the introductory courses: ionic substances, covalent molecular substances, metallic substances, concepts of acids and bases, main group elements, coordination chemistry and the transition elements, solution chemistry and organometallic chemistry. Includes laboratory work: synthesis and identification of inorganic compounds using various identification and characterization techniques. Prerequisites: CHEM 2110, CHEM 2115, CHEM 2120, CHEM 2125, CHEM 2130 and CHEM 2140 with a grade of C- or better Corequisite: None Restrictions: None Attributes: May be offered in sections with a Q2 designation
