PR AND ADVERTISING DESIGN

Prerequisite: COMM 2301 or COMM 2405 with a grade of C or better. Open to COMM majors only. Not open to Freshmen. Upper level study of visual text composition and message manipulation. The course is concentrated around the techniques of market analysis and strategy, concept development, and design layout. Students will learn how to develop a media strategy from available media options and to realize a media plan. Questions of audience, cost efficiency, and sponsorship are addressed. Students will learn the practices of advertising writing, creating public relations copy, and applying visual layout and design techniques. Faculty: S. Yin
