Previously titled: Program Newsletter. Prerequisite: COMM 2103 and one additional W1 course with minimum grades of C. Permission of Instructor Required. Interns will regularly contribute to and manage the program’s social media. This is a writing-focused, strategic messaging internship which also requires significant time spent on planning, revising, and editing. This internship will provide a fast-paced experience, working on story production with a specific audience in mind. Students should plan to think of themselves as working journalists and content creators, submitting work on deadline, connecting with the program, and honoring journalistic principles. Students will exercise self-expression while respecting the unified standards and practices of the program and university. This mirrors what creative professionals do while working in commercial environments.
