FOUNDATIONS OF MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING

The purpose of this course is to teach the fundamental skills of clinical mental health counseling. Students will learn the nature of the clientele and the concerns they bring to counseling, the importance of the counselor role, and identification of effective treatment modalities for practice, client and professional advocacy, and collaboration with other professionals in the field.
