COURTS, LAW, AND PROCEDURE

This core course is an introduction to the American court system with a focus on the criminal courts. A survey of substantive criminal law and criminal procedure is conducted so that students acquire a basic understanding of the legal theories and processes that underlie our criminal justice system.
