FORENSIC SCIENCE LAB I

Prerequisites: CRIM 1100 & CRIM 2610/2110. This course examines the history of forensic science, the role of forensics in today’s criminal justice system and NIST/ OSAC forensic best practices and standards. Students learn about the impact of the Innocence Project and gain skills in physical and class evidence identification, forensic photography techniques, crime scene processing, crime scene Investigation report writing, trace evidence classification and analysis, and fingerprint identification and processing.
