CRIMINAL JUSTICE CAPSTONE

Prerequisite: CRIM 1100, CRIM 2114, CRIM 2141, CRIM 2145, CRIM 2121, CRIM 2108, CRIM 2130. Open to only CRIM Juniors and Seniors. This course applies content to issues in policing, courts, corrections, and victimology. Over several writing assignments, students will review the literature to critically analyze a topic in Criminal Justice using criminological theories and research methods (e.g., quantitative, qualitative, legal) to culminate in a 15–30-page APA-style writing assignment based on empirical findings. Students will also complete a presentation using appropriate computer techniques. Topics vary by instructor. This course meets the University’s W2 Writing across the Curriculum requirement. Faculty
