ECOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES

Principles of ecology, the structure and function of the biosphere, covering population dynamics, community ecology, natural selection, energy flow and nutrient cycling in natural communities and ecosystems. Emphasis on conceptual modeling and use of spatial data to explore ecological systems. Required of all ENVL majors. PREREQUISITES: ENVL 1100 with a C or better or equivalent. COREQUISITES: ENVL 2205. RESTRICTIONS: None. ATTRIBUTES: May be offered in sections with a Q2 designation.
