VIOLENCE IN MEDIEVAL LITERATURE

Open to freshmen only. This is a freshman seminar. This course will examine the representation of violence in a variety of medieval European texts: law, history, poetry, and prose fiction. We will undertake this examination in an effort to understand the values that inform the textual bloodshed. Faculty: D. KING
