INTRODUCTION TO GERONTOLOGY

Prerequisite: Not open to students with credit for GSS 1090. Values/ethics course (V). Surveys the study of aging from biological, psychological, social and cross-cultural viewpoints. Considers the older person as an individual, a family member, a community member, and member of a political constituency. Evaluates ethical issues and the impact of population aging on societies.
