AGING AND THE FAMILY

(Same as SOWK 2292.) An examination of the current and future needs of families with respect to provision of care and services to the older adult population. This course reflects the historical and traditional roles of family members and changes in these roles that alter care giving, i.e., working women, single heads of households, decline or delay of child bearing. Resources and policies that influence the family's ability and capacity to provide care delete are also a focus add and unique issues of ethnic care giving are also a focus. Faculty: W. JAYNES
