ALTERNATIVE HEALTH CARE

Open only to freshmen. This is a freshman seminar. This course will examine the two major paradigms in American health care- biomedicine and holism. After a brief review of their historical development, the course will compare and contrast their principal theories and practices. Several practitioners will come to class to discuss and demonstrate alternative healing practices. The course will conclude with a discussion of the future of alternative health care in the United States. Faculty: R. CAPLAN
