AFRICAN, AMERICANS, RACE & MEDICINE

Open to Juniors and Seniors Only. Students will grapple with the intersection between race, health disparities in African Americans, and in this course. The role medicine played in the social construction of “race” will be explored. Students will conceive ways to alleviate a selected health disparity within this cohort. Faculty: T. Gipson-Jones
