STOCKTON JAZZ ORCHESTRA

ARTS COURSE (A). The Stockton Jazz Orchestra consists of a performing group experience in which standards of jazz orchestra performance are explained and achieved. The ensemble explores the standard jazz repertoire, from Ellington to the present. Students develop skills such as composition, interpretation, and improvisation. The course is open to any Stockton student who plays a musical instrument at an intermediate level or above. May be repeated seven times for a total of 16 credits. Faculty: Music Studies Faculty
