STOCKTON CLASSICAL INSTRUMENTAL ENSEMBLE

Prerequisite: Reading knowledge of music and proficiency on an instrument required. Arts course (A). Students in this course will prepare and perform classical music in a large group setting. Emphasis on elements of musicianship as well as those technical, perceptual, and intellectual skills necessary for quality participation in an ensemble will be addressed during weekly rehearsals with the instructor. Participants will gain an appreciation for various style periods of classical music through assigned, level-appropriate classical music literature. Open to strings, winds, brass, and percussion. May be repeated seven times for a total of 16 credits. Faculty: C. DiSanto
