ADULT PRIMARY CARE III

Previously titled: Adult Nursing III. This course focuses on the health state of adult men and women who are 65 years of age and over. Students will have the opportunity to build upon skills previously developed in NURS 5422/5922 (Adult I), and NURS 5423/5923 (Adult II). Differential diagnoses, and treatment of common acute and chronic pathological conditions will be examined. Roy’s Adaptation Model will be the framework used to assess, manage and evaluate care of older adults. Emphasis will also be placed on health promotion and disease prevention among the older adult population. Faculty: L. Janelli
