HEALTH CARE ECONOMICS & POLICY

This course will explore the implications a rapidly changing healthcare system with an emphasis on current and future economic and healthcare policies. The role of the US government in organizing, financing and delivering health care will be explored. Emphasis will be placed on healthcare policy research literature, leadership, and advocacy that influence legislation to improve health outcomes. Using a SWOT analysis, theories of leadership that impact financial structures in healthcare will be employed. A comprehensive business plan will be created with a concentration on financial management.
