Previously titled: Research Methodologies. Open only to MSOT graduate students. This course focuses on critical analysis of quantitative and qualitative evidence-based practice research found in occupational therapy and related literature, with emphasis on research to measure client outcomes, validate clinical practice, and advances the profession. Students review the research process including ethical study design, developing research and evidence-based questions, and methods for data collection and analysis. Students will learn how to integrate evidence-based practice as practitioners with a particular emphasis on evaluating and communicating critically appraised topics with various client populations. Offered Spring semester only.
