INTRODUCTION TO AMERICAN POLITICS

This introductory-level American Politics course covers the founding of the American political system and the Constitution; public opinion, political behavior, and elections; and the three branches of the federal government. While the focus of the course varies, major themes may include (1) how democratic the American system is, (2) why there is so much political conflict in American politics, (3) why it is difficult for government to pass significant legislation, and more.
