SUSTAINABLE ENERGY

This course explores the nature, challenges and impacts of renewable generation technologies, including photovoltaics, solar thermal, wind, oceanic, and geothermal, in comparison to established generation systems such as fossil fuels and nuclear, and concludes with an exploration of energy innovations in transportation, infrastructure and manufacturing. Prerequisites: SUST 2100 or ENVL 1100 AND PHYS 2220/5 or 2110/5 (Latter may be taken concurrently). Corequisites: SUST 3305. Restrictions: None.
