TECH FUNDAMENTALS FOR PRODUCTION

Required for all first-year Theatre students. An applied learning introduction to technology for theatre, TV, and film, including scenery construction, painting, installation, props, lighting, sound, editing, and production techniques for stage and screen. Students will gain a basic understanding of the fundamental tools and techniques used behind-the-scenes in production. Students will also be given a practicum opportunity to apply these learned techniques in the scene shop, where they will work hands-on with the technical director to help build shows and assist in backstage productions.
